We come to this sacred ground this week to honor those who gave their lives to preserve a Union that, despite their bloody sacrifice, still appears splintered. We hear a lot of 'catch-phrases' tossed around by political type folk, the ones that take in scores of millions from lobbyists and special interest factions, that don't deserve to even look at the pictures of these fine, humble men, from both sides. And when we hear phony patriots speak of tyranny and liberty, well, that is why we are here. From a historian to those who only mimic the cable tv news talking point of the day-"Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it."
