Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State was in a fatal auto accident today in the state as he traveled in convoy to join president Goodluck Jonathan in an election campaign. His aide-de-camp, Aminu Ibrahim, died in the crash while the governor himself sustained bruises on his arm.
The governor's convoy had crashed into an oncoming commercial bus that had maneuvered its way out of large crater on the Katsina-Daura road around 9:00 AM Nigerian time
