Mark Wahlberg, the actor who plays Ward in The Fighter, seems to want to bring more stories about boxing legend it to the big screen. He hinted the possibility of making of the sequel to the movie The Fighter.
"Now we'll talk about doing a second," said Wahlberg at the Academy Awards, 27 February. "We'll make a trilogy, the story of Ward and Gatti (Canadian boxer who became the opponent Ward). We'll make it real, "added the lead actor and producer of The Fighter was, as quoted Aceshowbiz.
Why The Fighter about to be a trilogy? Wahlberg said, because there are three major battles between Ward and Arturo Gatti. Unfortunately no further details about the sequel to the film project, because it was not yet prepared.
The Fighter was released in December 2010 and, until now has been making a fortune 100 million U.S. Dollars worldwide. Christian Bale and Melissa Leo have won an Oscar for a supporting role they play in this movie.
